The truth is, topographic surveying is not a one-size-fits-all service. The cost depends entirely on the size of the land, the complexity of the terrain, and the specific type of survey required.
Here is a transparent breakdown of how we price our services at GV Modern Surveyors:
1. Boundary Fixing (Standard Plots)
For standard residential plots (e.g., 30x40 or 40x60 feet) within city limits, the cost is usually a flat fee. This covers the mobilization of the team, the Total Station equipment, and the physical marking of the 4 corners.
2. Topographical Surveys (Acreage)
For larger tracts of land (1 acre and above), we charge on a per-acre basis. Topographical surveys require us to map not just the boundaries, but every tree, road, elevation change, and existing structure on the property.
3. Daily Rental Rates
For massive construction projects (like high-rise apartments or factories), builders often prefer to hire our team on a daily basis. A standard “Day Rate” includes:
- 1 Professional Surveyor
- 1 Assistant / Prism Man
- 1 Robotic Total Station
